About
NexEd explains AI agents in education.
NexEd explains how AI agents work in education: learner agents that tutor without giving the answer, teacher agents that leave the lesson decision with the educator, and classroom agents a school can explain to families.
NexEd is a lab. The public site is where the lab writes down what an education agent should do, refuse, and explain. The writing is in English and is meant for teachers and researchers.
Three programs
Each program is one use of an agent, with a limit a school can say out loud.
- Learning Copilot. Learning Copilot is a learner-facing AI tutor. It hints, asks, and retrieves a definition, and it stops short of handing over a finished answer.
- AI Literacy Index. The AI Literacy Index is NexEd's vocabulary for what learners and teachers need to know, question, and direct when they work with an AI agent. It is not a score of schools or students.
- Classroom Observatory. Classroom Observatory is a teacher-facing agent. It notices participation, confusion, and momentum during class, and the teacher decides what those signals mean.
What is published
Writing holds essays. A claim stays in draft until the sources support it. Journal is for research that can be checked. It stays empty until that research exists. The journal is not a place for unpublished studies dressed up as findings.
